Watercolours are a passion for Jill."The light and shade are amazing in Australia. Colours take on a new meaning with the intense saturation and fantastic contrast the Australian light gives. I love showing nature in all it's splendor - skies, clouds and water - whether it's a raging storm rolling in from the West or simply painting the timeless Huon water reflections. "
Jill loves to paint in her local area - the Huon Valley, and is quite happy to accept commissions of favourite views or scenes that you may have, so that you can have the perfect piece for your personal collection, or as the ideal gift for a local family member.

This was the medium that Jill first started out in, after working as a tracer copying plans and illustrations of buildings for civil engineers. Jill was born in Bexley which offered the perfect subject to the young artist as the town is of Roman descent and still possesses many ancient building in a high state of repair.Jill´s work became very sought after in the local area mainly due to her amazing ability in recreating the perfect detail of these buildings. So much so that Jill was asked to paint a scene from the local area for the Mayor to present to their twin town in France as a gift - quite an honour!

Pet portraits are normally based on the owner providing Jill with a favourite good quality colour photograph of their special friend.
